Welcome to NUA, Nagoya University of Arts
International Education Center
Introduction
Established during the 1994 academic year, the International Education Center provides guidance to NUA students studying abroad and accepts students from foreign countries. The Center is expected to function as an important link in developing future international exchanges.
Study Abroad
NUA offers its students a wide variety of overseas study opportunities with the aim of promoting a more global perspective and international understanding. Current NUA students have been sent to many foreign universities, primarily in European and Asian countries, including University of Brighton in England, University of Arts, Bremen in Germany, Yong-In University in South Korea, and University of Denver in the United States. With the number of sister school agreements continuing to increase yearly, the university's system of exchanges with sister schools has resulted in an ever more active exchange of students.
Foreign Student Admissions
Although the number of foreign students at NUA varies from year to year, the school normally hosts from twenty to thirty foreign students each year. Many of these students are Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean, with students visiting from other Asian countries as well. The university's exchange students in 1995 included one sponsored by the Venezuelan government as well as students from the Art Institute of Chicago in the U.S., France's Ecole Nationale Des Beaux-Arts De Dijon, University College Falmouth and Denmark's Aarhus School of Architecture.
